Vinyl Showcase (Avery brand vinyl)

Working in the sign business you use a lot of vinyl. Some brands are better than others. I have used Avery, Orcal, 3M, Shine Right (I get nightmares about shine rite), FDC, and even a little bit of Calgon by Arlon.

So far my favorite has been Avery Brand. I have had very few problems using it. unlike Shine Rite and 3M. Shine Rite is a cheap vinyl made by Fellers, a Vehicle Wrap supply company. They are a great company, I just do not care for their vinyl. Shine Rite has a plastic feel to it than a vinyl rubbery feel making it harder to work with on my opinion. 3M is good for high performance but the intermediate vinyl leaves someting to be desired. Besides with 3M you are paying for the name. Avery is one of the least expensive vinyls and it is well made. They offer of course the regular A6 Intermetiate

I created this blog so that I could showcase some of my work and allow people to follow my adventures in Graphic Design and Sign making. Right now I am currently working for a Sign A Rama. I enjoy it a great deal. I get to be creative and I get to use my hands to make things. Its the best of both worlds. I hope to learn a lot and share my knowledge with whoever needs it.
